I'm an "unofficial" guide in Kawagoe.

I always ask friends who come to Japan to come to Kawagoe. I'm an "unofficial" guide in Kawagoe. I have spent 3 years in my high school days, and I live in Kawagoe now. I am really happy to guide you around my beautiful Kawagoe.

Starting from Kawagoe station, Kawagoe is linked with TobuTojo-line and JR. It's very convenient location. It takes less than an hour from Tokyo by train. Near Kawagoe station, there is Hon-Kawagoe Station connected with Seibu-Shinjuku-Line. It's also great to start!

I recommend Market Terrace for lunch.
You can find LUMINE very easy from Kawagoe station. Market-terrace is the 7th floor in LUMINE. This is buffet style restaurant. Local and delicious foods are available. Buffet style fits for vegetarian and vegan too.

Local Craft Beer COEDO
You must not forget to drink COEDO. You can find the sign of COEDO anywhere in Kawagoe. There are many kinds of beer from COEDO brewery. I recommend "Beniaka" Beniaka means red in Japanese. "Beniaka" beer contain sweet potato which is the speciality in Kawagoe.

Traditional temple Kitain
Kitain is the temple which was moved from Tokyo long ago.

Main Street in Kawagoe
You can see the street which is like old Tokyo style.
Now Tokyo's building is almost reconstructed bigger and higher. You can feel old traditional Tokyo in Kawagoe now.

Sweets Street.
You should come here until early afternoon because the shop will close early. You can enjoy little sweets there. Kawagoe is famous of Seet potato. There are many kinds of sweets made of Sweet potato for example Ice cream, chips, a Japanese-style bun stuffed with sweet potato. I saw many people buying the long sweet soft stick called "Fugashi". This is too big to bring all the way after buying. It tastes good, but it's too much. It's not a good idea buying it.

If you have a plan to come to Japan, let me know! I will guide you around Kawagoe. Let's drink local beer, eat Sweet potato, walk a traditional street in Japan.

You can understand "Basic Income" with this movie.

This movie introduces the idea of Basic Income how it works and argument of it.
I got a chance to interview with Enno Schmidt who directed the Movie. I study about Basic Income again now.

It's a graph of the amount of the steel product and people needed to produce them. It's clear that Our human job is decreasing year and year because of AI and technical innovation. In the future almost of our work will be gone. How can we solve the problem?

"Basic Income" is one solution.

A basic income is an income unconditionally granted to all on an individual basis, without means test or work requirement. from here

In Switzerland, they did a referendum on Basic-Income introduction. Enno Schmidt is the founder of the Initiative. The referendum held last year, and 23% Swiss agreed for Basic Income.

I totally agree on the solution. I wrote it last year before the referendum in Switzerland.

We should protect children from poverty.

The quarterly Journal "Social Movement" will be published on 15th April.
The special issue of the Journal is "Child poverty" in April 2017.
I did an interview with Dr, Aya Abe who is well known Japanese professor of poverty and social policy. Then I wrote it to the Magazine.

Recent years our government lead by liberal democracy party extended the gap of salary in Japan. Therefore one-sixth children are facing relative poverty. It is the 4th worst following U.S, Spain, Italia, in the 20 developed country.

Welcome to Takasaka Organic Cafe "夜明ケ -Yoake-"

Welcome to Takasaka Organic Cafe "夜明ケ -Yoake-"
When I lived in Higashimatsuyama, the nearest station was Takasaka Station. There were a Stationery Store, Bookstore and Cafe but now closed. I was so shocked when these stores closed. I've not bought often. I realised if I want to go there often, I should go there often. There are many beauty parlours without my noticing it.

I visited Takasaka last time, I found new Cafe named "Yoake". Yoake means dawn. I really welcome Cafe to Takasaka. Takasaka has no other Cafe near the station. I drunk organic coffee taste amazing. The menu is suitable for vegetarian even vegan. In Japan, its hard to find good Vegan food in Restaurant or Cafe and Their one of the concept is Local food.

I love the atmosphere and the concept. I will recommend you the Cafe, and I will visit often, then I will keep the cafe at Takasaka.
